Data Upload & Archive

Local Archive

All metadata, raw audio data, and data products are stored locally on the DON shared network drive (\\swc-storage4-s, MMTD-ACOUSTICS). This includes the following;

• extracted SUD files (log, wav, accelerometer)
• depth data
• GPS data
• QAQC results
• decimated data
• LTSAs
• analysis data products

Compressed SUD files are stored locally to the PAM Synology drive.

Deployment metadata is also archived to a local Tethys database. Detailed directions to access this database here.

Status: Completed

NCEI

Raw audio data and deployment metadata are archived to NCEI Passive Acoustic Data Archive. To align with permitting requirements, data may be inaccessible to the public for up to two years after the data collection date.

Status: Waiting for Navy clearance to send packaged deployment metadata and raw audio data to NCEI. Once sent and published, we will link to the DOI here.

PACM

Once finalized, beaked whale and sperm whale detections will be archived to NEFSC Passive Acoustic Cetacean Map.
